Nicholas Christopher Brady was born in Chicago, Illinois to parents Cherrenelle Brady and Otis Brantley. Spending most of his childhood in Gary, Indiana, Brady grew a love of books and stories at an early age with the help of his mother. It was his love for reading that honed his skills and gradually manifested into a passion for writing.
By the age of 13, Brady had started writing his first book Danger in the House, which he published six years later. The following year, he released his second title, Strangers in the Swamp. Brady’s writing style has been described as giving readers a hypnotic experience. He has a way of showing scenes in a way that feels as much cinematic as it does literary. Throughout his engaging tales, readers can relate to his diverse characters that drive the story page after page. And although he depicts his target audience as young adults, adults enjoy his unique stories as well.
Brady’s latest thriller Night Ghost was published in May 2016. The idea for the story first came to him during his senior year in high school. But he didn’t start officially writing it until years later while an undergraduate at Purdue University. Set in a fictional town near his own, Nick weaves an intriguing tale that becomes more mysterious as the plot unravels to the shocking truth behind who 'Night Ghost' really is. This is the first novella where he has drawn from names and events occurred in his family from Greenville, Mississippi.
After earning his Bachelors in English/Writing, Brady began working with children as an after school tutor/mentor. Then later became a Traveling Assessment Evaluator. He plans to return to school to earn his Masters Degree and become a college professor in creative writing. In addition, to writing, this young novelist enjoys listening to music, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
